Quick beef stroganoff with gnocchi
This was inspired by a lovely lady on instagram – she took my recipe and replace the tagliatelle with gnocchi …inspired!
Pasta, Recipes, Vegetarian
Slow cooked tomato, courgette and spinach pasta
I love a quick and easy recipe and that is what slow-cookers are made for! This recipe makes enough sauce for two meals so you will have a healthy pasta sauce in the freezer for another day!
Curry, Recipes, Vegetarian
Slow-cooker saag aloo with yogurt and chutney
I love a good slow-cooker recipe but I prefer the type where you just throw everything in – this recipe is just that. It makes a tasty side-dish but is also good served as a vegetarian (or vegan) main. I love it served with a sprinkling of fresh coriander
Chicken, Recipes
Crispy onion chicken with homemade chips and salad
This dish was born when I was short of time and had no breadcrumbs in the freezer! The onions are an amazing addition and it is now a firm favourite in the Gillies household!

Salmon twists with broccoli
These look super impressive but are simple to make and an be prepped in advance. Think of them as a cheat’s salmon encroute.
Pork & Lamb, Recipes
Lamb stew with red pepper and olives
A lighter stew that can be eaten in the summer as well as in the winter. I am serving it with couscous, but it is just as good with a side of vegetables or some freshly baked bread.
Fish, Pasta, Recipes
Smoked mackerel pasta
A tasty way of getting some more oily fish into your diet! The smoked mackerel adds an amazing flavour burst to what is a simple tomato pasta dish.

Coconut haddock bake
A wonderful tray bake which is super easy to prepare and absolutely delicious to eat!

Spiced Lamb Pittas
This is an easy dish that works well on those days when you need a quick dinner.
Fish, Recipes
Indian spiced salmon with cumin roasted broccoli
This is my favourite fish recipe, it was inspired by an authentic recipe taught by The Cooking Academy on their Indian course. If you have any of the marinade left over it works just as well on other meats (and it keeps well in the fridge.)
