Simple, quick and delicious hummus
Once you make your own, you will never buy from a shop again. It not only tastes amazing, but it is also really quick and easy to prepare.
- 400 g chickpeas (tinned) drained (reserve the liquid)
- 2 garlic cloves
- 60 g tahini paste
- 2 tbsp lemon juice
- 1 tsp cumin
- ½ tsp salt
- 1 grinding black pepper
- 2 tbsp olive oil
Add the chickpeas, garlic, tahini, lemon juice, and seasonings to a food processor; blend - I like to leave a little texture in mine
With the blender on, slowly add in the olive oil and then a little of the aqua faba (chickpea water) until hummus reaches your desired consistency
