Classic flavours make this a comforting dish of deliciousness!! It's easy to make in advance: prepare up to the point of putting in the oven and put in the fridge/freezer.
When cooking, defrost and pop in the oven for 10 minutes (foil on) and then 10/15 minutes foil off.
This is one of those dishes that I make and then wonder why we don't have it more often! It is a great way of using up leftover veggies but, you can also cook the veg and make them (frozen mash is the way forward if you are doing this!!)

Yes, you can cook macaroni cheese in the slow cooker! It is not the same as cooking it on the hob - it's a different consistency: it's thicker but that isn't a bad thing in this case! And it's cheaper and simpler to make!
